Ingfield Manor School is acknowledged as one of the leading centres for Conductive Education in the UK. It has national reputation for the development of communication work with pupils.

The school is a day and weekly boarding school for children aged 3 – 16 with cerebral palsy. Our pupils have a range of abilities and associated learning difficulties arising from cerebral palsy.

We have our Pre-School and Assessment Service (PSAS) for children with physical impairments and associated learning problems. Conductive Education programmes incorporate the early years curriculum.

Ofsted has concluded that “the work in Conductive Education by pupils and staff is outstanding. This is a centre of excellence for an alternative approach to the education of children with cerebral palsy.”

The Dame Vera Lynn School for Parents is a unique service for families of young children with cerebral palsy and complex needs. Parents and children learn daily living skills together using the principles of Conductive Education. The School for Parents provides a vital service for babies and very young children, from birth to five years. The aim of the Dame Vera Lynn School for Parents is to work in partnership with parents to educate the young child with cerebral palsy or associated motor learning difficulties, and allied learning needs. The service is provided in partnership with The Dame Vera Lynn Trust.
