Face 2 Face Solihull
Face 2 Face Solihull is a support service available to parents of disabled children recognised as having additional needs living in Solihull. It is a free and confidential service, which links parents of disabled children with local parent befrienders.
For every emotion you face as you raise your child with additional needs, whether at the time of diagnosis, or later on in your journey, other parents have been there too. Talking to someone who understands can help you to move forward, reassured and ready to make positive adjustments.
Face 2 Face is a network of trained, volunteer parent befrienders who support you to navigate successfully through the sometimes worrying and confusing experiences you face when you have a disabled child. Each of our befrienders are themselves parents of disabled children and are passionate about being able to provide a unique support that they felt was not there for them when their own children were younger.
We have eight trained parent befrienders in Solihull, and hope to train more by the end of 2012.
