The aim of Hampton House is to maximise choice, opportunities for personal development and independence for disabled people with complex support needs.

There are 26 single bedrooms, and two rooms have been converted to make a double bedroom and lounge for a married couple. People live in small groups and are able, where possible, to choose their keyworkers.

Hampton House has two Disabled Persons Vehicles (minibuses with tail-lifts/ramps and wheelchair clamping systems) and a car which can accommodate one person seated in a wheelchair, for the use of all. The vehicles are used daily to take people to day centres, colleges, shops, places of entertainment, GPs, dentists, holidays and so on. There is a taxi service, and Hampton House is on the bus route, which accommodates wheelchair users.
