Lingfield Avenue is a large well-established, shared supported housing service in Kingston-upon-Thames, a residential area in the West of London, close to local amenities and within easy reach of central London. The service is a registered care home for 14 disabled people with a range of impairments, including cerebral palsy, learning disability and people recovering from strokes.
There are currently four vacancies at the home
Accommodation is in single rooms on both floors, the service benefits from a lift. Seven rooms are on the ground floor and the service also has a purpose-built two-bedroom flat that can offer a taste of independent living within the safety of a residential care home.
The large open plan kitchen and dining room is at the heart of the home. A relaxed and informal atmosphere encourages people to take an active role in the preparation of meals as well as the wider running of the home. The communal areas are spacious and the home benefits from a large accessible garden, decking and patio area.
The home offers a wide range of activities, and access to community facilities is well developed. The home is also supported by local volunteers from Kingston University and local schools.
