Our Generation Mentoring and Befriending Service, Wakefield
Our Generation is a free mentoring and befriending service that offers one-to-one support for disabled people and people with long-term health conditions over the age of 50.
"Until getting in touch with this service I was totally isolated and housebound. But now due to this service I find myself on a new path in my life."
- Are there things you want to do but don't have the confidence to do them alone?
- Or maybe you feel it would be easier to do things if someone else was with you?
Our mentoring and befriending service can support you to do the things you wish to achieve. This may be a specific goal such as learning a new skill or joining a new social group or something more general like building your confidence.
We aim to empower older disabled people to lead an active and fulfilling life by helping them achieve their goals and reduce the isolation they may be experiencing.
