Community activities for residents

Our activity co-ordinator plans activities with the residents. We set no limits. We believe our residents should be given every opportunity to achieve as much as they can. We work hard to enable disabled people to feel part of the wider community and empower them to make choices as well as having control and understanding about the environment in which they live.

Our residents have access to a range of activities within the community which include:

  • ice skating
  • bowling
  • cinema
  • football at a football ground
  • cricket at a cricket ground
  • swimming
  • rebound therapy
  • life skills courses at a local college

We aim to facilitate any activity which our residents desire to access. Residents also have access to our adult day activity service (Concord House), which includes a music room, sensory room, ball pool, gym and offers cookery classes, aromatherapy, art and craft classes, multi-sensory sessions and a range of other activities all catered to meet the client’s individual needs.

All residents are able to access an advocate through Advocacy Alliance to ensure their rights are sustained and their views are heard.
