Rutland House School For Parents

Enabling the disabled child; supporting the parent

Rutland House School for Parents aims to provide Conductive Education and other services to help children with mobility and communication problems develop the skills they need to thrive and achieve their potential.

Rutland House School for Parents is committed to creating a safe, positive, supportive and fun environment where parents receive practical assistance, information and training to help them support their child in their own home.

Through the attainment and development of mobility, cognitive and sensory skills, the disabled child has greater confidence in their ability to interact with peers.  Rutland House School for Parents prepares the child and the parent for life in the wider community, for transition to mainstream or other education.

Many parents of disabled children experience loneliness and isolation - Rutland House School for Parents empowers parents, helping them to be more confident in their own and their child’s ability.
