Scope has a specialist fostering service in East Anglia. We have successfully recruited foster carers who are able to provide a wide range of placements for disabled children in Norfolk and Suffolk and we are continuing to recruit throughout the region.

Some children with learning or physical impairments experience difficulties in finding suitable foster carers due to the high level of support or the type of property they require.

We are looking for caring and committed couples or individuals to offer care for these children in their homes either on a short break, shared care or a full-time basis.

Scope Fostering Services believe that disabled children can fulfil their potential, just like all children - and that disabled children can fully participate in the wider community. We recognise that the level of support needed may be high, but that the outcomes can be very positive and rewarding.

Our foster carers who have a child placed with them have experienced what a difference they can make and the wonderful progress that each child has made through the individual care and attention they have received.

We intend to support foster carers by providing them with specialist training and resources from our existing services to enable them to provide a high quality of care to those children who would ordinarily be placed in residential care.

This enables children to have more choice about living options and benefit from continuing to be fully integrated and participate in community activities.
