Scope in Leeds: activities, advice and information for families with a disabled child
We arrange exciting activities for disabled children and young people after school, at weekends and during school holidays. We also give advice and information on wide range of disability matters.
Who should use our service?
We give information on activities and advice to parents and carers of disabled children and young people aged under 18.
We work with children and young people with all impairments, such as autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, mental health problems, visual and hearing impairment, learning disabilities and others, sometimes called special needs.
We cover the whole of the city of Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Why use our service?
Whether you're interested in sports, arts or Scouts, we'll tell you what's available so your child can join in. They’ll develop confidence and independence, and you can take a break.
We'll arrange activities for disabled children and young people up to age 18 and work with activity organisers to make sure they meet your child's needs.
We also provide advice and information on services and support across the city for you and your child.
From September 2013 you can drop in at one of our monthly advice and information surgeries in Seacroft, Bramley and Beeston.
