Scope in West Norfolk

Health Regard Health Lottery LogoOur trained volunteer befrienders support disabled people, disabled children and their families to get involved in community activities in West Norfolk.

We support disabled people and disabled children with any impairment, such as physical impairments, autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, communication difficulties, hearing impairment and visual impairment.

We cover all of West Norfolk, including King's Lynn, Hunstanton, Dereham, Swaffham, Downham Market, Thetford and surrounding areas.

What do our befrienders do?

We can support you in all kinds of ways:

  • Finding out about groups and things to do in your area, like a youth club, gym or choir
  • Developing skills and interests, such as photography, gardening or the outdoors
  • Just having someone to go along with you, to boost your confidence
  • Achieving your goals and ambitions, such as using public transport independently, volunteering or making friends
  • Getting involved in your community, such as through social clubs, sporting events or the arts

Whatever you want to do, our befrienders can support you.
