Become an activity provider

Would you like support to provide activities for disabled children and young people in Blackpool?

We'd love to hear from mainstream and specialist activity providers who are committed to ensuring all children have fun and enjoy their childhood. We can assist with free advice on inclusion, training and promotion of your service, and also help you access funding. Get in touch to find out more about working with us!

What is a Scope Activities provider?

The term provider can cover many different things. You may be part of a commercial enterprise in Blackpool, like a cinema or a hairdressing salon, and wish to improve your accessibility for disabled children and young people. Alternatively, you might already offer activities for disabled people and want to work with us to promote your services. Either way, we'd like to hear from you.

What would it mean to become involved as an activity provider?

Lots of things! You would benefit from the advice and support of the team. We can help you make sure your service is accessible to disabled children and young people with additional needs. This might mean training for staff, practical advice on how you work or changes to the environment in which you work. We will work with you to approve your service, then display it on our website and in other publications, exposing your service to a wider audience. Once all that's complete, we'll still be here to help.

I'm not sure my service/business can do any more than we already do.

We'd still like to hear from you. It may be we can approve you without any additional work and then get your service more widely known. Perhaps you could offer our members special benefits to attract more custom?

We already provide inclusive services to disabled children and young people in Blackpool, why should I get in touch?

We really want to hear from you to make sure you're included on our website and don't miss out. We want to make sure we offer disabled children and young people as many opportunities as possible and, to do that, we need you on board!

So where do I start?

Please contact the Scope Activities team.

We will talk you through how we might be able to help, then perhaps arrange to visit.
