The Vines, Nottingham

The Vines is a respite unit providing short breaks to up to three disabled people with complex needs.

All rooms are fully accessible with tracking hoist throughout, tastefully decorated and bedrooms individually personalised for each person's stay.

There is a large bathroom with choice of a shower or accessible bath, an open plan lounge and dining room leading out onto a large accessible garden front and back.

The Vines staff provide a high level of support with personal care, eating and drinking, moving around and taking medication. Support workers are fully trained to support people in all areas.

Access to the community

The service is based in the community close to local amenities and public transport.

There are a wide variety of exciting activities planned both within the service and community during your stay at The Vines.

There are opportunities to access sensory and physical activities and therapies, including rebound therapy, which is based at Concorde House, an adult day service in Nottingham.

People are able to enjoy:

  • outward bound pursuits
  • educational activities
  • college courses
  • massage and aromatherapy

  • cinema

Short breaks for carers

Are you a carer? Do you need a break from your caring role? We provide a flexible, quality service that is tailored to you and your family's needs – when you need it.

We provide care and support for the person you care for so that you can take a break from your caring responsibility.

This will give you time to yourself. Take up a hobby or interest, visit a friend, go shopping, go to work or just take a break. We can provide peace of mind so that you can have well-earned time to yourself.

The Vines is registered with the Care Quality Commission.
