Recycling and donating goods to our shops
A bag of donated goods is worth about £20 to us.
That's enough for a physiotherapy session for a disabled child or adult, and will help improve the flexibility and dexterity of someone with cerebral palsy.
There are lots of ways to help your local Scope charity shop.
-
Drop a bag off at your local shop
Support your local Scope shop by donating good-quality clothes, accessories, books, music, homeware and more.
Find out what donated goods our charity shops need.
-
Recycle mobile phones
We provide a recycling service for your unwanted mobile phones, which you can drop off at any Scope shop.
-
Textile banks
If you can’t get to a shop, you can still support Scope by putting your donations in one of our textile banks.
-
The Great Donate
A really fun way to support Scope is through The Great Donate - we will supply all you need to organise your own donation event at your workplace, school, club or anywhere you choose!
-
Doorstep collections - fill a sack
We post some six million sacks through letterboxes each year. If one drops through your letterbox, just fill it with good-quality donations and we will call to collect them on the day indicated on the sack.
-
Request a collection
Call your local shop (type your postcode in the box in the top right of this page) to see if they can collect.
-
Gift Aid
We can now reclaim an extra 25% of your donation's value from the tax man. If you are a UK taxpayer, all you need to do is complete a simple form, when you next donate any stock. It is a great way of increasing the value of your donation at no cost to you or us. Please ask staff in your local shop for more details.
