Scope face-to-face fundraising
Face-to-face fundraising, including door-step donor recruiting, is an effective means of fundraising for many charities, especially in attracting non-traditional charity supporters who are happy to commit to long-term giving.
Since 1999, Scope has recruited over 60,000 supporters via door-to-door and street fundraising, raising valuable funds towards our work supporting disabled people. This kind of fundraising also has great awareness-raising benefits as it gives people the opportunity to hear about the work we do and ask us questions, whether or not they choose to make a donation.
All recruiters have to follow strict guidelines regarding their conduct while asking people to give long term to a charity. They must also wear a bib/Scope t-shirt and an ID badge (see picture) to identify the charity that they are representing.
All fundraisers are thoroughly trained in the background, the issues and the work of Scope, and they are proud to work for a worthy cause.
