"I'm proud of my involvement with Scope since the 1970s, especially with my role now as Scope's Patron with special interest in early years. I look forward to supporting Scope improve and enhance the life opportunities for young disabled children, their parents and their families."
Professor Sir David Hall FRCPCH, FRCP, FRCP (Edin)

Emeritus Professor of Community Paediatrics at the University of Sheffield and former President of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health Professor, Sir David Hall has been a Scope Patron since December 2002. He has a special interest in our Early Years work.

Professor Hall is regularly in contact with Scope from his bases both in the UK and abroad, and is involved at a senior level with specific areas of Scope's operations such research, conductive education, international disability networking and inclusive practice.

Most recently Professor Hall has assisted by raising Scope's media profile in the national broadsheets and by writing the foreword to a report for Scope's In The Picture. The aim of the campaign is to increase the representation of disabled children in picture books.

In the four decades that Professor Hall has been supporting Scope his involvement has varied from visiting services and assisting with fundraising requests, to fronting videos and giving advice to staff and the media on medical and paediatric matters. We very much value his wisdom and support.
