Beaumont students

are empowered to take responsibility for their own lives

What we offer

Beaumont College offers individualised learning programmes for residential and day students in Lancaster. We also offer places to learn in Carlisle and Blackpool, extending Beaumont's friendly and supportive environment to enable students to achieve their full potential nearer to home.

Our multidisciplinary approach to learning makes a difference to the lives of our students. We aim to enable young adults to take responsibility for their own lives, in whichever form this takes. We encourage students to participate in exciting activities they've always wanted to try, realising their dreams in the safest way possible.

My son always loves going to Beaumont. His face lights up and he really enjoys it. Always happy.

Happy birthday Natspec!

On April 24th 1985, Natspec’s founder members met for the first AGM - 7 of the original 10 colleges are active members today

The purpose was ‘to provide a forum whereby matters of common interest to members may be discussed and needs of students with special needs in Further Education promoted’.

Today we celebrate 30 years of providing specialist education and support to young people with learning difficulties or disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and lead fulfilling lives.

Beaumont College Blackpool

Our Blackpool site provides person-centred learning programmes for students in the local community.

Close to local shops and transport, Beaumont Blackpool is based in the Health and Wellbeing Centre on Highfield Road.

Beaumont College Carlisle

Our Carlisle site makes great use of the purpose-built facilities at the Applied Learning Centre at James Rennie School.

Students' individually tailored programmes encourage real life learning in their local community, supporting them to gain skills and confidence in a familiar environment.

Beaumont College Barrow

Our Barrow-in-Furness site, based at Barrow Sixth Form College, is due to open in September 2014.

Students will be following person centred programmes, including learning in the local community.
