Homeware Volunteer

Why we need you
- To generate more income by creating appealing window and in-store displays
What will I be doing?
- Sorting through household goods that have been donated, keeping an eye out for any unusual or valuable items
- Pricing glassware, crockery and ornaments appropriately, taking into account the age, condition, collectability of items
- Helping maintain a continuous supply of fresh items on our shelves
- Arranging bric-a-brac into themed displays, for example, kitchenware and crockery
Skills required:
- A keen interest in collectables, antiques and homeware
- A knowledge of the value of collectables would be really helpful, as would previous experience in antique or second-hand shop work
- The ability to work as part of a team
How much time do I need to commit?
Volunteers arrange volunteer times with shop manager.
What support will be given?
General support from shop manager to understand tasks.
