Why we need you
- To use your experience and attention to detail to look after the financial systems and paperwork of the shop
What will I be doing?
- Reporting financial data accurately and on time
- Assisting the manager with other optional activities such as stocktaking, ordering new goods and general clerical duties
What skills do I need?
- Bookkeeping skills or experience of working with financial systems
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic numeracy
- Honesty and reliability
- The ability to work as part of a team
How much time do I need to commit?
You can agree your hours with your manager who will try to be as flexible as possible. Many of our volunteers contribute one or two four-hour shifts a week.
What support will I be given?
We will provide all the training you need to feel confident in the role. The shop manager will be available to advise and assist you as you work in the shop. There may also be other experienced volunteers in the team who will be available when you need help or want to ask a question.
