Disability Equality Training (DET)

Interactive Disability Equality Training (iDET)

For both public and private sector organisations it is increasingly vital that all management and staff are 'disability aware'. The expanding requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995 and the new Disability Equality Duty (DED) from December 2006 make this critical for organisational efficiency, business advantage and risk avoidance.

Interactive Disability Equality Training (iDET)

In addition to Scope's DET courses, Scope also offers training courses and the Interactive Disability Equality Training (iDET) Toolkit to enable people in organisations of any size to quickly gain an effective understanding of all key aspects of disability equality.

Courses

You and your organisation can benefit from Scope's expertise by enrolling on one of our Disability Equality Training courses.

The aim of these courses is to give participants the knowledge to deal confidently with disabled customers and service users.

The courses are designed to meet the practical needs of customer-facing staff in both the public and private sectors, including managers who are responsible for delivering goods and services to the general public.

We also offer our courses in-house. These may be tailored to the needs of your particular business or organisation and delivered at your chosen venue.
