"Some places I've applied to, I've told them at the first instance that I was deaf and didn't get an interview. With other places I didn't mention any disability and I got interviews but then it didn't work out very well because when I went for the interview I told them I was deaf."
We know that there are some very real physical and cultural barriers for employers and disabled employees in the workplace. We know that it is sometimes difficult and costly to overcome these barriers. However, we also know that the rewards and benefits can outweigh this.
