Claire Flint

Chair of the People Committee

Claire has a passion for helping organisations, teams and individuals to flourish and reach their potential. She has a plural career comprising Non-Executive Director/Trustee roles and leadership consulting.

In her executive career, Claire was most recently Group Human Resources and Brand Director for Oxford Instruments plc, a leading international, nanotechnology tools provider. She served on the Oxford Instruments Management Board for more than 10 years during a period of significant organic and acquisitive growth and strategic and organisational change.

Previously, she worked for Diageo plc, Bass Brewing and the National Westminster Bank in a variety of international Human Resources roles.

For two years from 2014 to 2016 Claire served on the Board of the UK National Nuclear Laboratory as a Non-Executive Director Associate as part of the Government’s Women on Board scheme. From 2012 to 2016, she sat on the Institute of Physics Campaign Board raising funds to promote the advancement of physics as an engine for education and economic growth.

Claire has a Bachelors (BA) in History from London University and a postgraduate diploma in labour studies.

Claire cares deeply about inclusion in society and has lived experience of disability. Her brother is a wheelchair user and has been disabled from birth.
