Local disability information

A DPO is a disabled people's organisation.

The telephone service is open Monday to Friday from 10am until 4pm. Outside these times you can leave a message on the answering machine and one of the volunteer independent living advisers will call you back as soon as possible.

Access Dorset also have a Drop In Service where you can get face to face support on Wednesday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm at Access Dorset, Littledown Centre, Chaseside, Bournemouth BH7 7DX.

  • Signposting to support groups and organisations

Access Dorset is also a third party Hate Crime Reporting Centre. They help people deal with any distressing incident that takes place in the community, such as bullying, harassment or being unsure of how to deal with a situation. If requested, Access Dorset will report any incident to the police on behalf of a person, or anonymously, if preferred.
