Scope's Community Engagement programme empowers local people to take action and create change in their local communities.
The programme is for disabled people aged between 12 and 65, families, parents and unpaid carers of disabled children.
The project is funded by People's Health Trust.
The Community Engagement Programme is currently running in:
Groups of local people meet once a month at an informal gathering where they can meet new people, propose and develop new projects. Each area has a pot of money to spend on local projects developed by local people. The group takes part in decisions about how to allocate money to projects.
