You can change attitudes.
Text SCOPE to 70123 to give £3
In 2016, disabled people continue to face many challenges – and they tell us that public attitudes are part of this. We know from this year’s findings that disabled people feel the need to hide their impairments and therefore are not able to be themselves in public.
Not enough people know or interact with disabled people. Because of that they often don't know what to do. They panic, or worse, just avoid situations for fear of doing the wrong thing. We think this is because there is still a lack of understanding of disability in society.
Both disabled and non-disabled people said that getting to know each other, and more education about disability, would help end this awkwardness
By supporting our work to change attitudes and make equal opportunities for disabled people a reality.
You will be charged £3 plus one message at your standard network rate. Scope will receive 100%. If you wish to discuss this mobile payment call 0203 282 7863. Registered charity number 208231. We will contact you by phone and SMS to tell you more about our work and how you can be part of it. If you do not wish to be contacted, text NOCOMMS SCOPE to 70060.
