Set the vision and ensure the development and delivery of strategies for Public fundraising (public fundraising, major donors, trusts and statutory income streams), Marketing, and Digital and Data.
Ensure the active involvement of disabled people to position and promote Scope and ensure our customers are at the heart of our work.
Work collaboratively at leadership level to bring charitable impact and income generation together alongside the monetisation of our skills, assets and services.
Identify and foster key long-term partnerships and alliances relevant to the role in the UK and globally and represent Scope externally in order to further its aims and protect and enhance its reputation (e.g., media representation, fundraising and other high-profile events). Serve on national and international bodies, as required.
Create, develop and implement an income generation strategy as the driving force behind your effective leadership of our individual and public fundraising functions and trusts and foundations team, achieve fundraising targets and build lasting relationships with our public fundraising donors.
Develop strategy to ensure accelerated growth of our fundraised income, providing a step change in both short and long-term (3-year plan) results by designing and managing a fundraising pipeline with well-defined recruitment and retention initiatives, you will deliver exceptional stewardship for our individual donors.
Through your inspirational leadership style, develop the directorate to excel while also ensure collaboration across the whole of Scope. You will embed a data-driven mindset to enable decision making to be based on deep insights through fully integrating and optimising our data and research for every activity.
Ensure through your leadership the right level of marketing support and investment to enable the effective promotion of fundraising with clear ROI targets.
Lead the Marketing function to help define and develop an inspiring Scope brand experience and supporter journey to create lasting and mutually beneficial relationships, to optimise every touchpoint.
Lead, manage and develop the teams and performance to excel in their individual fundraising activities, promoting collaboration across the wider department and organisation and living Scope’s values.
Proactively manage, with functional heads, the revenue generation, adherence to financial reporting, risks and opportunities to deliver to agreed targets.
Embed a data-driven mindset in decision making that is based on deep insights across the organisation by fully integrating and optimising the CRM function and at every element of fundraising and marketing activity.
Establish and cultivate close personal working relationships with significant donors and prospects in concert with the Chief Executive and Trustees.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice particularly in relation to fundraising activity and the handling of personal data.

Comprehensive knowledge of Charity Commission requirements, Fundraising Regulator best practice, GDPR, Charity Governance, Gambling Commission and other statutory requirements that relate to charity fundraising.
