We are looking for people to join our team of helpline advisors providing an exemplary service to our customers.

About Scope's Helpline

Scope's Helpline is at the very heart of the charity's vision to help everyone to have the same opportunities and live in everyday equality.

Scope's helpline exists to provide information and support to disabled people, their families, and professionals who work with them, covering all issues around disability. We manage donations and enquiries from our donors, and we are the main route into the charity for our customers.

Full job description

About you

You will be self-motivated, computer literate, and demonstrable knowledge of more than one of the following areas relating to disabled people: benefits, disability rights, social care, enabled environments, housing, government policy relating to benefits and disability.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • empathy and a desire to help
  • the ability to give often complex information over the phone.
  • emotional resilience
  • excellent telephone skills
  • ability to work as part of a team and independently with little supervision
