Job description

Role purpose

  • To be a Disability Gamechanger.
  • To help increase the impact our services have towards equality. To ensure that Scope services are the best they can be through analysis and evaluation of customer data. To respond to data requests and provide regular data updates for funders, Board and the executive leadership team.Â

Main responsibilities

  • Analyse Scope customer data to inform service improvement and show our impact.
  • Support the evaluation of Scope services by analysing quantitative data. This includes database records and survey results, using statistics.
  • Work with the Scope Strategy and Impact team to design the Impact Framework for our 10 year strategy. This is how we measure the organisation’s performance against our goals.
  • Report KPIs to services teams, executive leadership team and Board.
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries for data from internal stakeholders.
  • Support fundraising bids with services data.
  • Analyse data for fundraising bids, working closely with services.
  • Work with services to improve our data quality.
  • Run workshops on data, presenting latest findings from analysis.
  • Support the design and testing of new outcomes surveys.
  • Support the evaluation of policy and campaigns work.

Person specification

Essential experience and skills

  • Experience of conducting quantitative research
  • Experience of analysing survey data
  • A degree including statistics (social science, maths, research methods) or equivalent experience of using statistics
  • Experience of corporate and management reporting
  • A good understanding of quantitative research methodologies
  • A good understanding of statistical techniques like significance testing and correlations
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • A good understanding of evaluation

Desirable experience and skills

  • Lived experience of disability
  • Understanding of the social model of disability
  • Experience of using analytical software packages, such as PowerBI or experience of coding.
