Job description
Role purpose:
Scope is a major pan-disability Charity. We aim to lead the field in attracting, developing and retaining a diverse team of Disability Gamechangers who are highly engaged and motivated to deliver our strategy of Everyday Equality; who live into our values and put our customers at the heart of everything they do. This role is key to us achieving our aim.
You will work as part of the Talent Acquisition and Development team, managing the day-to-day co-ordination of our acquisition and development activities, to ensure all our colleagues are supported to develop their skills and knowledge, to flourish in their careers and to achieve their best as disability gamechangers.
Main responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Co-ordination of our team’s activities, including: drafting and sending accessible joining instructions, attendance lists, managing resources, ensuring smooth processes and a high quality of customer service to our internal and external customers
- Manage the Learning and Development module on iTrent, listing our training sessions and managing users’ bookings and queries
- Manage our learning platform, Scope to Learn, working with colleagues in the team and across the organisation to ensure effective processes are in place to record, monitor and track completion of all training and development activities
- To be the main contact for all matters relating to our iTrent L&D module and Scope to Learn. This involves working with internal and external partners and creating comms and accessible user guides for colleagues and volunteers as needed
- Manage and co-ordinate all administration of e-learning access for users, maintaining records of activity, including for compliance training
- Work with the Talent team to create a schedule of activity, including all our learning and development interventions and our acquisition approach at Scope
- Ensure all activities are promoted and communicated across the organisation, working with our talent team colleagues, internal communications team and using our Scope to Learn platform. You’ll build engagement and excitement about learning opportunities and our culture of continuous professional development through our Grow our Gamechangers process
- Working with your colleagues in the team you’ll oversee the evaluation process for all talent and development activities, including analysing the data and creating reports of trends and findings that inform our future activities in the team, and those that help build understanding across the organisation
- Working with the Training Specialist to complete the administration of training for new starters including tracking, reviewing and updating new starter checklists and highlighting completion rates and anomalies.
- Process all payments, invoices and raise purchase orders for the team, keeping accurate financial records.
- Support the team with general admin support including attending and recording actions at team meetings and tracking our progress against our strategic goals and KPIs
- Provide Support to the Head of Talent Acquisition and Development in delivering our strategy. Keep in touch with Talent acquisition and development, finding out about new and innovative approaches and sharing them with the team.
- Support the team to prepare learning events and to help with in person and virtual events, workshops and sessions. Overseeing the technical aspects as well as providing a warm welcome
- To be an ambassador of Scope and our cause
- Support the Training Specialist to deliver the Corporate Induction, ensuring that all attendees can access the session and the materials and following up any issues

- Proven track record of coordinating a learning and development team or a training team
- Team player with good interpersonal skills who is keen to collaborate and lean across to build understanding of others’ roles in the team, to develop efficiencies and agile ways of working
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, confident in communicating to a range of people/ groups including on social media to drive our brand recognition
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter, able to work under own initiative with excellent organisation skills.
