Qualifications

Good level of general education - A level or equivalent

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of event management and the special events market place
  • Experience of event management and delivering special events
  • Experience of evaluating events, making recommendations and building business cases to inform decisions
  • Success in building relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of managing relationships with external suppliers and venues
  • Experience of developing, delivering and evaluating marketing campaigns for special events
  • Experience and success in planning and delivering excellent supporter stewardship

Desirable

  • Demonstrable understanding of the social model of disability
  • Has experience of working with fundraising databases
  • Experience working with committees
  • Experience of managing high value relationships
