"It feels like the right and proper thing to do"
3 May 2019
Trevor told us how Scope made all the difference when his son Martin was growing up. Now he wants to give other disabled children the best start in life, so he’s supporting us in a very special way.
How did you first come into contact with Scope?
Our son Martin was born with cerebral palsy. It was a steep learning curve, but thankfully Scope advised us about the right school for Martin and the best places to go for support.
That’s great to hear. So how’s Martin doing now?
He’s 58 years old, a great guy with a huge personality! He works at a local garden centre and he’s got his own place, in supported living housing. We’re extremely proud of him.
Why have you remembered Scope in your Will?
Because Scope were very helpful to us with advice and practical support, and there may be others in the future who need the help that we had. It just feels like the right and proper thing to do. If you believe in Scope’s work, if you’ve seen the difference that it makes, I would encourage you to consider leaving a gift to Scope in your Will, too.
