This service

Taking that first step towards something new can be a bit daunting. But if you’re keen to get out and about more in your local community, there’ll be no stopping you when you find out more about our free support.

This might include support to:

  • join a club or group
  • get there and back
  • make new friends
  • take part in the activity!

Is this for you?

This is available for disabled adults with any impairment or condition. These include cerebral palsy, autism, physical impairments and learning difficulties.

Volunteers cannot give personal care or administer medication.

Your support

We’ll introduce you to a trained volunteer who shares a similar interest, no matter whether that’s a fitness class or going to Brownies, Cubs or a dance group. They’ll support you until you are confident to continue on your own, or with the new friends you’ve made.

With so many things to do, what will you choose?
