I just wanted to say how great my daughters support staff were. She was fun, energetic and a great role model for my daughter. She had the best day out and is so excited for her trip out this Sunday.

This service

Are you looking for support for your child to take part in local activities?

We will support your son or daughter to take part in any activity, for example:

  • Scouts or Guides
  • after school clubs
  • meeting up with friends
  • creative arts, drama and music
  • sports and fitness
  • shopping
  • going to the cinema

With us, it’s so much more than just going to an after-school club. Your son or daughter will develop their confidence, independence and gain new skills. At Scope we never set limits on a child’s potential.

Is it for you?

We support children and young people up to 18 with any impairment, sometimes known as special needs. These include dysphagia, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, physical impairments and learning difficulties.  We also support disabled children with clinical needs such as tracheostomy, gastrostomy, suction, oxygen and medication administration.

Getting started

We will talk with you and your child to find out what’s important and how they need to be supported. Together, we’ll develop a support plan around the things they want to do, with a focus on what they’d like to achieve.

Your support staff

We’ll find support staff who and your child will get on with.

Supporting families with disabled children for 60 years, we know just how much selecting friendly and caring staff matters. We train our staff thoroughly to provide safe and quality support.

You can pay using your direct payments, personal budgets, private income or through the local authority.

Book us for an hour or two as needed, or at a regular time that suits your family.
