The school

Ingfield Manor School is a place of excellence where your child can realise their educational and personal potential in a safe, supportive and fun environment.

We're one of the UK's leading centres for Conductive Education, with a national reputation for developing communication.

Each student has a personalised education and care plan, ensuring they develop the best possible skills for a more independent future. We treat all our students with dignity, courtesy and respect and support them to make decisions about their lives. Our holistic approach to education includes integrated therapy and multi-sensory lessons which are motivating, relevant and fun.

Is it for your child?

We offer places to children and young people ages 3 to 19 with neurological motor impairment, such as cerebral palsy. Our pupils have a range of abilities and associated learning difficulties arising from cerebral palsy.

The school provides weekly boarding placements. Some of the day pupils board flexibly and have short stays at school.

The bright, modern and purpose-built residential facility provides matches the high standard of care we deliver. There are five shared and five single bedrooms, most ensuite. The area is organised with all the furniture and equipment needed for each individual. We prioritise children’s health, safety, happiness and security. Our hygiene standards are excellent and staff trained to care for students with complex health needs.

We have a lounge with games, toys, TV, computer, games console, books and so on. There is also a dining area and student kitchen. Pupils are regularly asked what they would like to do after school. They enjoy a variety of activities in the evenings with opportunities to join in organised group activities and time for individual choices. Children also attend events and activities in the local community.

We support our students to stay in touch with family and friends. We have an ‘open door’ for family who want to see what life is like at school.
