This service

Everyone needs some time off once in a while. We offer tailored short breaks, also known as respite, for disabled adults in their own home or in the community. It gives them a chance to do something different, and gives carers a little time off. It can be for a few hours, a weekend or longer as required.

We can provide care assistance to you whilst you are on holiday you have arranged. We do not provide residential accommodation for short breaks.

With our short breaks the choice is yours – go out and have fun, or relax at home.

Is it for you?

Our short breaks are for disabled adults with any condition or impairment. These include dysphagia, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, physical impairments and learning difficulties.

Getting started

We will talk with you – and others in your life who you want us to – to find out what’s important, how you like to be supported and what you want to do. We’ll answer your questions. And together, we’ll develop a personal plan around what want to do, focusing on what you’d like to achieve.

Your support staff

We’ll find support staff who you like and you’ll get on with.

Supporting disabled people for the past 60 years, we know just how much selecting friendly and caring staff matters. We train our staff thoroughly to provide safe and quality support.

You can pay using your direct payments, personal budget, private income, or through the local authority and continuing health care funding.

Book us for an hour or two, a whole day out or overnight – we’re pretty flexible.
