Everyone needs some time off once in a while. We offer tailored short breaks, also known as respite, for disabled adults. It gives them a chance to do something different, and gives carers a little time off. It can be for a few hours, a weekend or longer as required.
With our short breaks the choice is yours – go out and have fun, or relax at home.
Through our short breaks, disabled people have the chance to do something different, develop confidence, independence and learn new skills.
Is it for you?
Our short breaks are for disabled adults with any condition or impairment. These include dysphagia, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, physical impairments and learning difficulties.
We will talk with you – and others in your life who you want us to – to find out what’s important, how you like to be supported and what you want to do. We’ll answer your questions. And together, we’ll develop a personal plan around what want to do, focusing on what you’d like to achieve.
Your support staff
We’ll find support staff who you like and you’ll get on with.
Supporting disabled people for the past 60 years, we know just how much selecting friendly and caring staff matters. We train our staff thoroughly to provide safe and quality support.
You can pay using your direct payments, personal budget, private income or through the local authority.
Book us for an hour or two, a whole day out or overnight – we’re pretty flexible.
