Customer Insight Volunteer

Does the idea of contributing to the creation of new products and services for disabled people inspire you? Would you be interested in improving existing services for disabled people? Are you passionate about doing research and insight? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, this could be the perfect role for you.

Why we need you

We are looking for someone to make a valuable difference to our Insight work by supporting the team to gather and process data from our services. We’d also like you to support us with insight activities and research tasks.

Where and when

This role can be carried out from home. This is a flexible volunteer role that you could do from 2-5 days a week. Minimum 14 hours per week. We would ideally like a committed volunteer for 3-6 months.

 Range of tasks to be carried out:

  • Customer experience monitoring through Scope’s feedback and insight platform
  • Identifying areas of strength for Scope’s services and areas for improvement
  • Collating statistics
  • Building reports
  • Conducting literature reviews in academic and non-academic sources on topics related to disabled people’s lives

We are looking for someone who:

  • is well organised
  • has excellent internet and search skills
  • is proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are preferred)
  • is able to complete assignments with tight deadlines
  • has strong verbal and written communication skills
  • can turn data into an informative and engaging summary
  • is able to work independently and has the willingness to function as a part of a team

  • Depending on areas of interest, there are opportunities to develop your presentation skills

  • Regular catch ups with your Volunteer Manager who will support you in your role and who will help you with your personal development goals
