Key information

This post holder will support the Creative Learning team with administration, data management and reporting, internal procedures and operations, and a busy programme of events and activities.

The Creative Learning programme focusses mainly on activity taking place in our local borough, Camden.

The majority of the activity happens during school term times and can also include evening and weekend work and features busy periods around projects, performances and events throughout the year. Our main activities are:

  • Partner Schools Programme (Camden-based).
  • Community Engagement and Projects (Camden-based).
  • Annual Schools Festivals and Youth Dance Platform (Camden and London-wide).
  • Contextual Events for performances in the Theatre (Internal activity).
  • School workshops and visits to The Place (London and the South East mainly).
  • Coordinating and co-leading the facilitation for our Youth Focus Group.

About the role

his post holder will work closely with the Creative Learning Producer and Assistant Manager, to ensure that the department operates effectively according to The Place policies, systems, and procedures, and ensures compliance in the following areas:

  • Operations and Administration including Data Management.
  • Finance (checking Management Accounts where appropriate).
  • HR (Contracts and Payroll).

They will provide support to the Creative Learning Team focused on our work in schools, in our local community, events for young people in our building, as well as assisting with the coordination of contextual events in the theatre.

This post holder will be responsible for:

  • Supporting general administration and coordinating delivery across all programme activity including a busy schools’ programme, key events, and community outreach.
  • Supporting the programme management (including recruitment and contracting, finance, and evaluation).
  • Supporting communications in partnership with the Communications Team.
  • Deputising for the Creative Learning Assistant Manager when required, including as a Deputy Safeguarding Officer (training will be provided).

Requirements

Essential Criteria

Knowledge

  • Familiarity with GDPR and Data Protection regulations.

Skills

  • Good numeracy skills and an understanding of financial systems.
  • Outstanding organisational skills.
  • Aptitude for building and developing administrative systems.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, databases, and online systems.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working in an administrative role.
  • Experience of data management.

Attributes and personal characteristics

  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels.
