We are looking for a compassionate and motivated practitioner dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families to join our Family Safeguarding Team as a full-time, permanent Family Worker.

About the role

Our Family Safeguarding Team, located at Time Square in Bracknell, is a dynamic and supportive group of professionals dedicated to safeguarding children and empowering families. Key responsibilities

As a Family Worker you will: 

  • manage a caseload of children in need, undertaking purposeful home visits and direct work with children and parents.
  • work alongside social workers to deliver solution-focused interventions, parenting support and programmes that strengthen safety, routines and relationships.
  • arrange, supervise and record family time between children looked after and their families, including practical transport as required.
  • maintain accurate, timely case records on MOSAIC, sharing information appropriately in line with safeguarding, GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
  • participate in regular supervision, training and reflective group case discussions to develop practice and support the wider duty system.

You will be a passionate and dedicated practitioner who thrives on making a direct difference to children and families. You will manage a varied caseload, facilitate family time, use motivational interviewing and keep clear and accurate records. You will bring a reflective, strengths-based and highly organised approach to your work. You will also collaborate effectively with social workers and partner agencies to safeguard and improve daily outcomes for children and families.
