As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all clients, staff, and visitor areas. You will work in accordance with set cleaning schedules and follow all health, safety, and infection control guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for all.

Key information

This role is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks which will include Enhanced with adults barred list check DBS (at the cost of Queen Elizabeth's Foundation if you are not already a member of The Update Service).

About the role

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning in bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, and communal areas to high standards.
  •  Inspect furniture and furnishings, reporting major issues to supervisors.
  •  Replenish supplies and report any damage or breakages.
  •  Provide a reliable laundry service for residents, therapy, and catering departments.
  •  Operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and use chemicals according to safety guidelines.
  •  Assist therapy staff in teaching clients personal laundry skills.
  •  Uphold strict client confidentiality at all times.
