Key information

An exciting opportunity to join Transport for Wales as an IT Test Analyst who will be responsible for all aspects of testing on digital system developments in accordance with test plans created and agreed by the Test Manager, including mobilising end user test teams, and capturing all test results.

We’re an open and inclusive place to work, where everyone is welcome and our people are supported to reach their full potential. We want to create an environment where our people can grow and succeed. This is key to enabling us to deliver on the promises we’ve made to the people of Wales to build a sustainable transport network that meets their needs.

About the role

You’ll support the Test Manager to write and agree test plans and methodologies during the project life cycle, including writing draft test cases using pre-defined testing methodologies, ensuring that there is traceability between the testing implementation and the requirements / acceptance criteria.

You’ll write and execute manual, automated, or non-functional test cases in Zephyr Squad and ensure that test status, risks and issues are reported in a timely manner using the agreed reporting standard.

You'll work with the Digital Project Managers and partners to plan and execute test activities ensuring all new software, systems, and new hardware components have been quality assessed to the level required, and capture all results appropriately, to ensure that new systems are launched successfully.

  • Ability to build effective working relations with people at all levels across the organisation and outside.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Analytical skills and good attention to detail.
  • The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
