Appointment to this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

About the role

As a Live Well Engagement Advisor, you’ll manage a caseload of clients and monitor their progress, as well as make onward referrals where appropriate, to support clients in further enhancing their health and wellbeing. You’ll be required to organise and deliver outreach work with priority groups across Leicester city to target the hardest to reach smokers, such as people living in deprivation areas, adults in routine and manual occupations, adults who have never worked or are long-term unemployed, and social housing tenants.

In addition, you’ll work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and be an exceptional communicator. You must be able to build relationships, prioritise your time effectively, and make a positive impact on local communities by developing and implementing new methods of engagement for the stop smoking service in Live Well.

Requirements

You will need to be able to actively listen, gather the views of local people, and feed these back into our wider programme of work. With a mature and calm manner, you’ll be able to prioritise tasks, and work under pressure to meet set objectives.
  • You will have completed the NCSCT (National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training - Knowledge and Skills) programme OR will complete this within 1 month of commencement in the post.
