Key information

The Pension Operations Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the organisation’s pension strategy, supporting adherence with pension policy and delivery of pension communication and administration services.

About the role

  • Implement any required changes/improvements needed to manage the Transport for Wales pension arrangements
  • Manage the relationship with external pension professionals through regular in person and online meetings to ensure work is delivered on time, within budget and in line with contractual and legislative requirements.
  • Manage the re-tendering of existing services working with the procurement team, pension colleagues and suppliers
  • Create, oversee and retain responsibility for an effective Transport for Wales communication strategy by liaising with the HR, Finance and Communications Leads. 

Requirements

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes gained either in-house or with a third-party administrator, to include completing annual projects and member transactions.
  • APMI, ACII (Pensions Route) CIPP Certificate in Pensions Administration or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience of HMRC regulations in relation to Pensions.
  • Ability to write comprehensive pension briefing papers.
  • The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
