Clear Links Support is recruiting for One-to-One Study Skills Specialists to support to students with an autism spectrum condition studying at Kingston University.
The role:
You will be working with students to provide strategies to develop the study skills required when studying in higher education. This includes skills in acquiring, recalling, and retaining information in written and spoken language, and strategies to develop memory, organisation, attention, and numeracy skills.
Requirements:
Applicants must be available to provide in person support at one of the following Kingston University campuses: Penrhyn Road, Kingston Hill, Knights Park.
Applicants should have:
A degree (any subject) and;
A teaching qualification (Level 7 or above) OR a PGCert in Autism and;
Six National Autistic Society (NAS) online training modules:
Understanding autism
Autism and communication
Autism and sensory experience
Autism, stress and anxiety
Autism: supporting families
Autism and Girls
OR
Optimum Student Support training course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education: Recognising and addressing the barriers through Non-Medical Helper (NMH) Mentoring and Study Skills Strategies
