per year, increasing to £28,000 in the second year.

Key information

The Systems Safety Engineering Graduate will undertake a 22 month defined programme that blends engineering assurance, system safety assurance, engineering management and industry experience. 

This role will have the opportunity for hybrid and flexible working, with a requirement to work on site as required. 

22 month fixed term contract.

About the role

  • You’ll contribute towards and manage various projects, at times simultaneously.
  • You’ll work across different areas in the Infrastructure Directorate.
  • You’ll take part in the Early Talent Development Programme by attending regular workshops and learning sessions for personal development
  • You’ll participate in a group project where you will collaborate to deliver tangible outcomes on a real business project over a 6 month period.
  • You’ll take part in the Early Talent Mentoring Scheme.
  • As a Graduate you’ll plan up to one week in advance to prioritise the delivery of projects

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering (BEng preferable).
  • Knowledge of the key roles under Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) and how they influence project activities.
  • Understanding of the importance of safety in the context of engineering and the transportation sector.
