About the role

As Traincrew Diagramming Production Planner you will work alongside a team of colleagues within Train Planning who are responsible for delivering the LTP and STP traincrew diagrams. This will involve preparing traincrew diagrams that are robust to deliver Transport for Wales train service. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Preparation of robust traincrew diagrams for STP including Special Events and prepare and deliver cost effective taxi plans
  • Prepare traincrew diagrams that are robust and deliver a train service that will meet the franchise performance targets and issue these in a timely manner
  • Liaise with Customer Services, Operations and Resource Centres to ensure diagrams meet Manpower and Budget plans, and to ensure that plans are deliverable within available resources.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing improvements to planning and diagramming processes and systems

Requirements

  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge
  • Experience of achieving deadlines and maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Previous Train Planning experience (desirable)
