Key information

4Studio is the engine room for C4’s digital acceleration strategy, with the primary mission to create, adapt and distribute content across the key social media channels. 

The primary activities of 4Studio will be to curate (existing) and create (new) short-form content and distribute it through actively managed social media channels. The Operations Apprentice will work very closely with key people and departments within C4 and on occasion with external stakeholders. 

About the role

Associate Project Manager Level 4

The Operations team are the master plate spinners and process developers in 4Studio. Made up of Operations/Project Managers, they’re the central team that ensure the ways of working are agile, and efficient for each of the 4Studio workstreams. The Operations team are the key contacts for keeping projects flowing smoothly and efficiently through the studio. 

The role will be based in C4’s National HQ in Leeds and will be a key component of C4’s regional strategy, creating creative job opportunities outside London and expanding the diversity of the company’s creative contribution. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Supporting key process and project meetings to help ensure the right people are involved to make decisions and that we follow up on actions to achieve the outcomes we need 
  • Supporting the Operations team with regular communication and reporting activity 
  • Helping process and improvement specialists with planning and facilitation of projects and process improvements across 4Studio 
  • Data collection, management and analysis (with support) to help deliver improvement projects 
  • Create and run audits of compliance for projects delivered and monitor quality control 
  • Supporting resource management in the department, helping to prepare resource forecasting data and plans in place to have the right support across our projects 
  • Supporting our Content Operations team to manage platform access requests, music rights issues and file downloads on behalf of the department 
  • Supporting with facilitation of workshops, delivering training, and problem solving 
  • Assisting with day-to-day administrative and ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

Am I eligible to apply?

  • You must be 18 years old or over at the time the scheme starts to apply. There is no upper age limit.
  • You’ll need to have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths and English GCSE
  • You can’t have already completed the qualification being offered or similar at the same or higher level

  • Verbal and written communication skills - Verbal - for example experience of dealing with customers or working as part of a team. Communication – such as writing emails, completing an application form or essay, or if you have a hobby that involves creative writing. 
  • Attention to detail -  such as Cashing up on tills or proofreading coursework.
  • Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks - such as Planning events whether personal or for professional purposes, as well as managing work life balance, for example working whilst doing coursework/exams. 
  • An understanding of and a passion for Channel 4's remit 
  • Mac and PC literate 
  • Demonstrable passion for social media, digital marketing and advertising
  • Must be a quick learner, curious and an early adopter of digital and social technologies
  • Basic knowledge of the Adobe creative suite and an interest to learn/develop new skills/programs
