Key information

Are you organised, curious, and eager to develop a career in governance, information management, or business administration? Arts Council England is seeking a Governance and Information Team Apprentice to join our team.

The role will be based at our Manchester office; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on site contact days with other members if the team, normally 1 to 2 days a week.

About the role

  • Co-ordinating administrative processes for internal and external business meetings.
  • Updating the Internet and internal Intranet site with new Governance and Information Team content and processes  where appropriate, ensuring staff and the public understand our policies and current work.
  • Contributing to the efficient running of the teams by supporting administrative systems.
  • Ensuring the organisational Data Breach log is updated accurately and clearly on Microsoft Excel and Teams Form, reflecting recent breaches and how we responded to each, as well as any follow-up actions necessary.
  • Carrying out some financial transaction processing such as raising purchase orders on our system Business Central; processing invoices and liaising with the finance team to ensure prompt payment of suppliers.

Requirements

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads  
  • Attention to detail and accuracy  
  • Excellent communication skills – speaking, listening and writing 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly 
  • Ability to use initiative to seek improved ways of working
