This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new, helping to launch a vital service within Break’s solo children’s homes in Norfolk and making a real difference in the lives of young people in care.

We are seeking experienced residential childcare professionals to make a real, lasting impact.

You will be instrumental in creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where young people can thrive, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes.

About the role

  • To be able to evidence Break’s values at all times.
  • To develop and maintain good working relationships (where appropriate) with fellow professionals as well as with parents, other family members and school staff. 
  • To act as the senior shift worker in the staff team To protect the service-users from threat to their health, well-being and development, both from inside and outside the home. 
  • Where possible, to ensure service-users are included in any decision making related to the day-to-day running of the home and shifts.
  • To implement management decisions in a manner that provides an empowering positive experience for service-users.

Requirements

  • Work calmly under pressure. 
  • Drive and hold a full clean Driving Licence.
  • Complete National Vocational Qualification Level 3 Diploma within 2 years. 
  • Work flexibly, following either own initiative or as part of a team. 
  • Undertake sleep in duties where appropriate.
