Your role as a Civil Enforcement Officer is to provide an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement both on street and off street. In accordance with Council's objectives, procedures and policies, your role will be to prevent illegal parking of vehicles as well as ensuring that valid pay and display tickets are displayed and to issue Penalty Charge Notices as necessary.
You must have a flexible approach to work, as your role will involve working an average of thirty seven hours per week to an agreed roster working twenty days out of twenty eight days, including weekends and both early and late shifts. At certain times you may be required to work overtime depending on the business needs. Enhancements will be paid for any overtime and weekend working.
You will be responsible for opening and closing the various car parks as required. In addition, you will ensure the parking infrastructure of the towns remain in serviceable condition by the reporting of defects.
You will be expected to carry out patrols on foot or by driving the mobile enforcement camera car, and patrols will be across the Borough. Part of your duties will include patrolling outside schools.
