Key information

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive School Site Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of school facilities within the utilities sector. 

As a part-time role, the School Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing site management, ensuring health and safety regulations are followed, and maintaining a positive learning environment. 

You will serve as a key point of contact for staff, students, and parents, fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

About the role

  • Supervise daily operations and maintenance of school facilities, ensuring they are clean, safe, and well-organised.
  • Conduct regular inspections of school grounds and facilities, identifying issues and implementing solutions promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and safety audits as required.
  • Address and resolve facility-related concerns from students, staff, and parents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with school administrators to plan and coordinate facility usage for events, classes, and activities.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, placing orders and tracking usage as necessary.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of cleaning and maintenance staff.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to school environments.
  • Problem-solving skills to address facility-related issues promptly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with maintenance practices and utility systems.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in facilities management, utilities, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role or facilities management, preferably within an educational setting.
